Qualifying Medical Conditions

According to the Florida Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU), patients may qualify for medical marijuana if they are diagnosed with one of the following conditions:

State-Approved Qualifying Conditions

  • ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)
  • Cancer
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Epilepsy
  • Glaucoma
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Chronic Nonmalignant Pain related to a qualifying condition
  • Terminal Conditions diagnosed by a physician

Florida law also allows qualified physicians to recommend medical marijuana for medical conditions that are comparable in severity or symptoms to the conditions listed above.
